GET Payroll Deduction - Employees
Please scroll down for Employer Instructions
Use payroll deduction to make convenient contributions to your GET account. Payroll deduction deposits go into your GET account on your pay dates and you can make changes to your deductions at any time directly through your payroll office. There is no cost either to you or your employer.
How to get started
First, check if your employer is already offering GET as a Payroll Deduction option. For a list of existing employers, click here. If you don’t see your employer listed here, consider sharing the information below with your Human Resources or Payroll office and let them know you are interested in having GET as a payroll deduction option.
Second, make sure you have your GET account(s) already opened.
If you already have your GET account number(s), simply complete the automatic payroll deduction form and give the original to your Payroll office and send a copy to GET.
If you do not have your GET account(s) open, ENROLL NOW. Once your accounts are open and you have your GET account number(s) simply complete the automatic payroll deduction form and give the original to your Payroll office and send a copy to GET.
Remember, GET accounts grow tax-free and the distributions will be tax-free when used for tuition or other qualified higher education expenses. GET payroll deductions are after-tax deductions, as required under Section 529 of the Internal Revenue Code.
