IT'S EASY AND FAST
It takes less than five minutes to set up GET Payroll Deduction - and then only a few minutes every payroll cycle. Just follow the steps below. You may also download step by step instructions.

Step 1. Tell Us

Complete a Payroll Deduction Establishment form, or simply call or email us with the following information:
  • Your organization (name and mailing address)
  • Contact person in your payroll/benefits office (name, title, phone, fax, and email address)
  • Payroll frequency
  • Tax Identification Number
Step 2. Tell Your Employees
  • Your employees must have GET accounts already established to participate in GET payroll deduction.  To enroll in the GET Program, your employees may enroll by mail or online at our Web site during the open enrollment period of September 15 through March 31.  Payroll deduction can be started anytime after the employee's GET accounts have been opened.
  • Tell your employees that you will be offering GET Payroll Deduction.
  • Then encourage them to call us or visit our Web site to sign up for payroll deduction. Employees will complete a Payroll Deduction Authorization form and return it to you in order to start their deductions. A copy of the form should also be sent to us.
We would be happy to provide brochures and sample newsletter articles for you to share with your employees.

Step 3. Send Us the Payments
  • Simply deduct the payments from your employees' paychecks every payroll cycle.
  • Then send us a check for the total deductions, along with a list of your participating employees.
GET payroll deductions are after-tax deductions, as required under Section 529 of the Internal Revenue Code.
