Halloween is upon us! There’s nowhere left to hide! Before you know it, adorable little ghouls and goblins will be at your doorstep demanding candy. I can almost hear the screams already!

Lock your doors, board up your windows, and consider a few of these Halloween tips to ensure you make it through the night.

Unless you want to get tricked, don’t give out these things…

Also on the list of should be banned candies – any kind of licorice. Licorice is meant to be eaten either one gigantic bucket at a time, or not at all.

imgresThis one is a little more polarizing, but Candy Corn came in high on the list of candies that kids despise. I’ll admit that I traded these things away for other candy at every opportunity, but I still get a little nostalgic at the sight of them.

And of course, if you really want to steal the show, no one plays a trick on the house in their neighborhood that gave out the full sized candy bars.

stay puffedIn the end, the key to a happy Halloween is safety. When it comes to costumes, sometimes face paint can do the job of a mask without restricting a child’s vision. Colored glow sticks are a great way to keep tabs on your little monsters. Be a safe pedestrian, and if you’re out on the roads watch out for ninjas and vampires. When free candy is on the line they don’t always look before they leap!
