Add or Make Changes to a Custom Monthly Plan

Add a Custom Monthly Plan to my existing Lump Sum Plan

You may add a Custom Monthly Plan to an existing Lump Sum account for the same student only during the open enrollment period, which runs from September 15 through March 31 every year.  Your contract will be based on current rates and will include a fixed 7.5 percent finance charge. You do not have to pay an additional enrollment fee.

Change my Custom Monthly Plan to a Lump Sum Plan

You can change your Custom Monthly Plan to a Lump Sum Plan at any time by completing an Account Change Request form. You must hold units in your account for at least two years before you can use them.

Add more units to my Custom Monthly Plan

You have two options:

• If you set up a Custom Monthly Plan during a previous enrollment period, you will need to set up a second Custom Monthly contract during an open enrollment period only (September 15 - March 31). Your contract will be priced at the new rate. 

• You can buy additional Lump Sum units at the current unit price in one purchase or through a series of smaller purchases.  Each purchase will be based on the unit price in effect at the time.

Change the terms of my Custom Monthly Plan

You may be able to reduce your monthly payment by reducing the number of units in your contract or increasing the number of years on your current plan.  Call us at 1-800-955-2318 to discuss whether this approach is an option for you.
